DESCRIPTION
This interactive sculpture uses the surrealist technique of shock in putting together two disaprate textures and environments. Large 2 x 5 foot swans made of origami paper are "launched" on the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn - one of the most polluted waterways in the US. The launching of the swans will be done with the aim of bringing the community of the Gowanus together for an event and celebration of the area.
